Kohira draws its name and inspiration from the legendary Kohinoor Diamond, known for its extraordinary size and purity. The Kohinoor is a Type IIA diamond, the purest form of diamond with 100% carbon content. At Kohira, we follow this heritage by using lab-grown Type IIA diamonds, ensuring the highest standards of purity and brilliance. Less than 2% of diamonds which are mined from the earth are actually classified as Type IIA diamonds and at Kohira we use their seed.
